Microsoft has officially started rolling out Artificial Generative Intelligence to its products with the launch of Copilot for Microsoft 365 for everyone. Microsoft 365 CoPilot Pricing
The company has already started rolling out the CoPilot update in preview to a handful of 600 organizations using Microsoft 365 E3, E5, Business Standard, and Business Premium. This is done via a paid early access program. Most users already pay for a Microsoft 365 subscription, and to make this more transparent, the company has also made several changes to the windows Settings in the account, from where users can check the Microsoft 365 plans and usage.
It is quite expensive, and the company is still in the early stages of efficient resource use. The price jump is due to the company’s high investment in AI-powered technology, which requires many GPUs. To access Microsoft 365 Copilot, users need a Microsoft 365 E3 license that includes Office apps, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and other productivity apps.

- Microsoft 365 Business Standard will now cost $12.5 per user per month.

To lower the price, Microsoft is looking at various ways, including investing in its infrastructure to develop chips to reduce costs. Also, Microsoft wants to avoid costly Nvidia dependence. Microsoft also plans to offer a standalone Bing Chat Enterprise for $5 per user per month as an add-on.
